Oliver didn’t come up through the Church like others before him. He wasn’t raised with religion or any sort of moral guidance. By his nature, he’s sweet and charming, but easily corruptible. It seems strange, but the Church seemed like a good option. He was greeted so positively, he lost all sense of apprehension. He wanted to belong so badly. He would do whatever it took. Meeting with Master Legrand was intimidating. The older man stood at least a foot taller than him, dressed in all white from his shoes to his jacket and tie.
